The state of NJ requires 500 hours of course curriculum approved by the New
Jersey Board for Massage and Bodywork Therapy. This works out to be about a

How much does it cost to become a massage therapist in New Jersey

Massage therapy school tuition is less expensive than the cost of a four-year

college degree, but the costs vary widely program to program. Tuition can be as

low as $7,000 or as high as $20,000 for a 6 to 8 month program which normally

includes the registration fee and books. The most important thing to consider when

evaluating how much tuition you can afford is how high is your income potential

in your area once you are licensed. Massage therapists in the Atlantic City area are

averaging $36 per hour in 2022.
